Our programs utilise this spectacular and unique location in the Yarra Ranges National Park. Visiting the Cement Creek Reserve and Forest Skywalk, pristine mountain creeks and exploring different forest types is a most rewarding learning experience.
NRCL excursions promote the importance of sustainable utilisation of natural resources, and provide hands-on encounters with plants, soil, water, and wildlife.
All programs are linked to the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and can be varied to meet individual learning requirements.
Our web site activities support integrated research which may be conducted back in the classroom.

Environmental Education Programs - Water for Life, Inside Forests

Exploring dry forest, rainforest, and pristine mountain streams highlights crucial values of forest biology, ecology and sustainability. Our 'Water for Life', 'Inside Forests' and other programs are linked to the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and web site activities support integrated research which may be conducted back in the classroom.
Biodiversity Incursion Workshops for Pre & Primary School students
The Natural Resouces Conservation League is developing new biodiversity incursions for Early Childhood and Primary Schools.
These programs range from learning skills on how to compare, investigate and examine traks and scats for what animals and birds are in your school grounds to sorting leaves, identifying plants and minibeasts.
Throughout the day, students will have a variety of hands-on experiences to gain these skills. For engagement there will be mystery boxes to explore, the Yarra water passage and frog calls. Phone NRCL for bookings.
