NRCL's Environment Discovery Centre at Warburton marks the gateway to a fascinating wonderland of natural forests, abounding with the birds and animals. Warburton is the gateway to the largest temperate rain forest National Park in the world, the Yarra Ranges National Park. The Yarra River, flowing right through the middle of the town, is home to Platypus which can be seen along the banks of the river. The magnificent Mountain Ash eucalypts, the world's tallest flowering plant, forms the upper canopy of the forest towering over the cool fern glades and middle canopy of Beech trees.
Sit back and enjoy a short tour of the region and programs that we conduct for groups in the pristine Upper Yarra Valley and the Yarra Ranges National Park.
